to look into security after the virginia tech shooting. >> 80 doors, 80,000 visitors a week, it's difficult to secure any enterprise with all of those doorways. >> reporter: there are no magnetometers at this hospital or at most nationwide. after the gunfire, johns hopkins alerted employees via text messages telling them what happened and what they should do. that was followed by a round of e-mails to hospital workers. another security note, all hospital staff members have i.d. badges and all 80,000 visitors are given wristbands. reporting live from baltimore, andrea mccarran, 9 news now. >> andrea, thank you. and stay with 9 news now for the latest on the hospital shooting investigation. >>> now to another story that is also rooted in baltimore. paul brian palmer has been captured. we brought this story to you first last week. palmer apparently got away from baltimore police. they thought he might have gone to montgomery county. he and his pregnant girlfriend were captured this week in washington state. palmer was charged with attempted murder for a stabbing back in august but
